My name is Angelica Vigilante and I am the Brand Communication Manager at Yays, a Dutch hospitality company based in Amsterdam. We believe that memorable travel experiences can only be created when people build a relationship with the people who make the destination special. With a little help from their Yays concierge, we like to think Yays is where travelers feel like locals. Our concierges are not like the snobby, dressed-up staff that you might find at posh hotels. They are friendly, outgoing and have a special connection to the community they are eager to share with our guests. All this is something you do not expect of a traditional apartment provider, so we realized we needed to show more of Yays’ commitment to its community and help curious travelers #unlocktheneighbourhood in cities across Europe. Clearhead, a UK-based video production agency, was hired to help us convey the Yays experience through a series of videos. Our Marketing department is located in Amsterdam. It was our first time working together. This could have presented some challenges. So when ActiveCollab invited us to use it, we were excited to be able to collaborate in a clear, intuitive, well-organized manner. We were pleasantly surprised by the experience. ActiveCollab is easy to use and everyone in the project was able to quickly adapt to it. The sections are organized in such a way that all the relevant information is easily accessible. ActiveCollab makes it easy to locate and trace back information. It also allows for seamless connections between conversations and files. The calendar view was invaluable in helping us to keep track of deadlines, coordinate work for multiple shooting days, and coordinate editing rounds. It was easy to work remotely with new acquaintances from the English Channel. Most project-management platforms feature flashy design elements and colors that can distract from the content of a project, while the essential graphic interface of ActiveCollab puts the user and their work at center-stage without sacrificing functionality.ActiveCollab was very suitable for our video projects. This tool is great for managing multiple people on the same project or individuals responsible for complex projects. You can never be too organized, as I love to say!
