Cybersecurity: A Crazy World With Many Cyber Attacks

Did you see the latest WikiLeaks activity about CIA docs. Let me give you a quick summary if you haven’t.
According to the news, WikiLeaks Tuesday uploaded thousands of classified documents to the Internet. This exposes hacking programs used in the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. “This first installment contains 8,761 documents and files taken from an isolated high security network within the CIA Center for Cyber Intelligence, Langley, Virginia.”
This shows that the CIA network does not have the necessary security to protect its data against cyber-attacks. It doesn’t matter what the reason for hacking is. What matters is how can we stop cyber-attacks. This is not the only news that is out there. Many of these cases have raised questions about the implementation cyber security.
CNBC reports that “Hundreds of Twitter accounts, from media outlets to celebrities, including Justin Bieber,” were hacked Wednesday. “Tweets revealed that many Twitter accounts were hacked with the exact same message being posted.” Forbes, World Meteorological Organization (Bitcoin wallet Blockchain), Germany soccer club Borussia Dortmund, Justin Bieber’s Japanese account and the U.K. Department of Health were all affected.
Does this mean that all information on the internet can be hacked? This means that we need more experts who can manage these cyber attacks. Many big companies are investing in training professionals to create a defense against these attacks and help companies save their data from further breaches.
According to Donald Trump, cyber theft is the fastest-growing crime in America. CSO report states that cybercrime damage will reach $6 trillion annually by 2021. This is based on recent attacks.
Companies such as Cisco and Microsoft are working hard to create a better framework that will not only eliminate residuals from these attacks, but also prevent them happening again in future.
These training structures need to be updated regularly as cyber crime methods change and technology changes. Even if you have been a certified cyber security expert for 5 years, it is still a good idea to go back through it again. It will provide you with the latest information on how to fight against the crimes.
Cyber security professionals are becoming more important as they can protect data that is both private and confidential.
“A Twitter spokesperson stated that it was aware of “an incident” affecting a few users and pointed to a page on their website giving advice on how to stay secure. Now it’s your turn.
At NetCom Learning, we offer numerous courses related tocybersecurityoffered by the CompTIA, EC-Council and many more companies. You will receive industry-leading training in the most convenient format. Some of the certifications include CISSP, CEH & CNDA and CompTIA Security+.

Coronavirus Crackdown: Managing Work from Home in the IT Industry

Coronavirus is having an unprecedented global impact. There are currently 124,474 infected patients and 8,965 death across 170 countries. This includes China, Italy and Iran. The US has reported a total of 149 deaths and 8,500 positive cases.
The COVID-19 disease, once in a century public-health crisis, has thrown the world’s economy into recession and severely disrupted economic activity.
In an effort to stop the spread of the virus, IT organizations are now requiring their employees to use work-from-home models.
Technology giants like Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Salesforce, as well as Apple, Facebook and Twitter, have closed down their offices and asked employees to leave. They also introduced mandatory remote work policies.
Remote work, also known as telecommuting, working at home (WFH), mobile, or flexible work, can be a powerful tool to limit the spread of disease. Companies can also avoid significant productivity losses and protect public health.

Work-from-Home: Benefits for Employees
No commute stress.
There are fewer interruptions that distract coworkers.
Minimal office politics.
More productivity.
Better work-life balance
It’s a boon for family and social life.
A general increase in happiness.

Employers get benefits
Increased productivity and employee satisfaction
You can have a truly diverse set of thoughts by not limiting talent to one area.
Creation of work-and community socialness
Reduced office space means more savings for employees.

Manage your Work-from-Home schedule, stay productive and deliver results

Focus on self-renewal and make the most of your morning commute.
Be organized, but be flexible when choosing work areas in your home. You don’t have to limit your work space to one desk or office.
Your surroundings should reflect the type of work you do. This could be a quiet area in your home for in-depth analysis or an outdoor space for managing your housekeeping tasks and responding to emails.
To avoid losing productivity, treat it as a formal job. Sit in a straight chair and move away from distractions.
Communicate clearly with your boss, reporting manager or client and streamline communication.
Video conference calls are a personal approach that allows you to see each other’s faces whenever possible.
Encourage social interaction by encouraging regular check-ins between your managers and team members. It can help you avoid loneliness, share progress updates and address pressing issues, as well as brainstorm ideas. FaceTime, Zoom and many other video tools can all be used to do the same.
You can pause the computer and take breaks for coffee, lunch, or breathers. It makes you more productive, efficient, and perspective-driven.
Define your work schedule and allot time for leisure. Be disciplined and adhere to the boundaries. This will help you finish your workday on time and allow you to move into your own space.
You can designate certain spaces as work-free zones. You can unwind after a long day by going to places that you don’t associate with work.

In the US, the contribution of the home-based workforce has tripled over the past 15 years. About 25% of US employees and more than 50% of those working in the information sector dial into meetings to consult clients or complete other tasks from their laptops at work.
Although work-from-home has seen a significant increase in adoption, not everyone is convinced. The negative interpretations of remote work show it to be lonely and does not foster creativity, companionship, or psychological safety, which are essential qualities for productive teams.

The debate continues! The statistics show a much bigger picture.
In the US, the number of companies offering work-from home options has increased by 40% over the past five years. Companies that offer remote work have lower turnover rates. Remote work is a way to save $44 billion annually.
Since 2005, the number of regular work-from-home workers (excluding self-employed) has increased by 115%. More than 3 million people work from home at least 50% of the time.
Remote work flexibility is a benefit that more than 65% of managers see as a result of increased employee productivity.
86% of employees feel most productive when working alone. Remote employees work an average of 1.4 days per month more than their in-office colleagues. 82% report lower stress levels.
68% of millennial job-seekers consider work-from-home a major factor in their interest in a company.

A pandemic and its subsequent scenarios may not be enough

Be a master of disciplined agile

It takes time and effort to build business agility. To be successful, it takes flexibility across IT, not just in software production. It also requires a focused organization that can maximize IT capabilities. Corporate resilience is a moving target, because the world in the company changes over time.
Modern industries are dominated by three basic forces:
Every company is now a tech company. It is not enough to be skilled in IT. You must excel in your field if you want it to be a success. Starbucks, for instance, is still competitive in software. Customers can pay and even buy via their smartphones, and they are encouraged and encouraged to spend more to earn rewards.

Every business is in trouble: Firms fear disruptors, new rivals that use technology to enter their business rooms. Financial institutions are concerned about fintech startups. Online commerce is disrupting retailers. Artificial intelligence and 3D printing disrupt healthcare. To stand out in a competitive market, businesses will need to make tough decisions early to stay ahead.

Agile firms are the most efficient: The business objective of Agile enterprises is to be adaptable, flexible and growing. Every market is regulated by Agile firms, or under the threat of competition from new Agile entrants.

What is Disciplined Agam (DA)?
Disciplined Agile is a decision-making paradigm that prioritizes staff and offers only limited advice to help groups improve their procedures based upon the specific requirements of each assignment. This is done by demonstrating how different practices such as project management and IT processes, business design and financing, can interact. The system also explains the scope of these practices, as well as the various strategies and trade-offs that each strategy can bring. DA is a hybrid approach that incorporates elements of Scrum and XP.
DA is very similar to the Crystal approach as a people first Agile framework. Disciplined Agile is now public, despite being developed at IBM in 2009. Initial implementation of the methodology was based on system judgements within an organization. Later, other subgroups were created, such as “Disciplined DevOps”, and “Disciplined IT Agile,” which applied the principles in particular fields. Today, Disciplined Agile is the practice of creating better systems in each of these areas, such as banking, sourcing and IT architecture.
Disciplined Agile’s strengths
The new composite framework design combines the best of many tried-and true techniques into one design

Companies can use the Agile approach while adapting it to suit their needs.

The weaknesses of Disciplined Agile
It is not recommended for organizations who are new to Agile, as it doesn’t provide sufficient instructions for implementation.

Because there are no guidelines, institutions that want to implement the DA structure will need skilled advisors to help them.

The Disciplined Agile System is focused on the main principles of market agility:
Customers will be delighted: If a company’s products and services can be adapted to meet the needs of consumers, it will make clients and stakeholders happy.

Be great: Great teams are made up of people who know the market well and have the resources to reach their goals.

Good choices: Different situations necessitate different approaches. Teams need to take control of their processes, test them and see what works for them in the real world. It provides a variety of workflow options, and an appreciation for the advantages and disadvantages will allow you to narrow down your search faster.

Optimize flow: Your company’s structure is dynamic and agile. It is made up of interconnected communities and teams that constantly change and influence each other. In order to succeed, you must ensure that all groups are well-organized and well-organized.

Sound enterprise: Staff should be mindful of the needs and goals of the entire organization. This inspires them to make sure that what they do is directly related to the organizational mission, not their sub-optimal goals.

The Disciplined Agile’s Claims
The Disciplined Agile (DA), commitments are those that firms make with their clients, colleagues, and employees.

How to deal with uncertainty in migration

Cloud architects create a migration plan after careful analysis. However, they are often surprised by unexpected events and issues that arise during the process. These uncertainties can slow down the migration process and force cloud architects to rethink and come up with better ideas.
Team members lack skills

Cloud architects can choose to move and improve, rip and replacemigrate or not. The development and deployment team must make modifications to existing applications and create new ones that are compatible with the cloud environment. This is based on business requirements. Automating processes may be necessary.

A Step-by–Step Guide to Develop Full-Stack Web Development Skills in-house

Full-stack web developers have a broad knowledge of many technologies and platforms, as well as extensive skills and experience in just a few. A full-stack web developer’s skillsets include both front-end and back-end.
Different professionals are needed to develop the front-end as well as back-end of a website for organizations. Full-stack developers are skilled in both front-end as well as back-end development. Full-stack developers are experts in all aspects of web development technologies. This includes knowledge of frameworks, servers and networks, databases (such MySQL, MongoDB), and hosting environments (such Azure, AWS and other).
Full-stack developers are able to oversee the development of a website, as well as coordinate different resources and teams to achieve the desired results. Follow these steps to develop full-stack web developers in-house.

Step 1: Learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript Skills
Cascading Style Sheets and Hypertext Markup Language are the foundation of most full-stack web design. Before you can consider other technologies, it is important to spend enough time training your team in these technologies. HTML skills are useful for those who have worked with HTML and can create websites and their content. CSS skills can be used to create the aesthetics.
After gaining enough expertise in these two areas, you can shift your focus to JavaScript frameworks (such AngularJS, React and more), which allow you to add dynamic features to websites. Your professionals will have a strong skill set in front-end development if they are well-versed in all of these technologies.

Step 2: Learn Programming Language Expertise
To create a beautiful website’s front-end, you will need the skills mentioned above. Let’s now move on to the back-end.
Back-end development requires professionals who are proficient in at least one programming language. While it is beneficial to have knowledge in several languages, they must be proficient in at least one. It doesn’t matter if it is Java, PHP or Python, Oracle, C++ or Microsoft.NET. You should only work with professionals who are proficient in that language.

Step 3: Choose Professional Training and Certifications
It is great to read articles and watch videos to learn how to become a full-stack developer. These activities are not a substitute for the guidance of an instructor with industry experience and practical knowledge. A professional training partner can provide comprehensive learning sessions for your team members. It would be a great idea to get your team members certified for popular programming languages.

Step 4: Keep your skills and knowledge current
Knowledge and skills are quickly lost in today’s IT-enabled business environment. It is vital to keep your IT staff up-to-date with the latest technologies. Every business must train their IT staff to obtain expert certifications and other complimentary certifications in order to maintain and build a competitive advantage.

Step 5: Gain Practical Knowledge through Workshops
It is one thing to be trained in a skill, but it is quite another to actually use that skill in a real-world situation. It is better to test your team members’ abilities in a real-world situation. This can be done through workshops or pilot projects. This will allow them to put their knowledge into practice, and gain a deeper understanding of the concepts.

Because this job role requires so many skills, it is difficult to identify the essential skills of a full-stack developer. It is better to learn as much as possible and to have as many skills than someone who is given the task of a full-stack developer. It is important to keep your team’s skills current in order to remain competitive in today’s market.

Most companies are familiar with Amazon’s AWS cloud services. These services are well-known for being easy to use, powerful, and relatively inexpensive. Although Azure has surpassed Amazon in some cases, and pulls on the same in others, there are still significant differences and overlaps that make Azure adoption somewhat confusing.
Microsoft Azure was launched in 2010 to compete with Amazon. Microsoft Azure, along with other services such as Office and SQL Server, has seen significant growth over the years. Azure’s virtual assistances can be accessed at three levels of abstraction to meet multiple business requirements. These are:
Virtual Machines: This type of IaaS deployment provides customizable Windows or Linux virtual machines. It gives the local IT professional complete control over the Operating System.
Cloud Services: This includes PaaS offerings which provide scalable cloud apps with control over VMs, OS architecture, and other services.
App Services:This PaaS-play offers fully managed Web, Mobile, and API apps to companies, while Microsoft handles the hardware and OS.

5 Ways Vendors Can Enable Partners

One thing we have learned as businesses try to navigate a post-pandemic economy is that fortune favors those who are prepared. Here are some tips to motivate your channel partners in times of uncertainty and business nerves that are hard to manage. Many businesses are now learning how to navigate the post-pandemic environment. Many businesses are learning how to navigate the post-pandemic economy, including a (possible?) recession, supply-chain issues, the Great Resignation, as well as other issues. We have learned one thing over the years: fortune favors the prepared. ChannelCon 2022 was hosted by 360Insights. Akilah Murrrell and Heather K. Margolis, both from 360Insights, shared their top tips on how vendors can encourage channel partners to sell their solutions in times of uncertainty and “business nerves.”
Know and Assess Your Partners
It doesn’t matter if you have been in business together for years, or if this is your first time working together, it can be very productive to do a deep dive into who your partner really is and what their current pain points are. Your partners have likely experienced changes in the last few years. Roles and employees have been rearranged, budgets have been rearranged, and products or services are ready for breakout. Only by doing your research can you find solutions that work for your partner in this moment.
Murrell stated, “Right now it is important to really understand where your partner is coming from and cater to their immediate needs.” Building relationships with your partners is an important step in establishing your position as a trusted solution provider, given the amount of change and growth happening in IT channels. You don’t want your business to be lost to a competitor simply because you didn’t do enough research.
Educate Your Partners
After you have assessed the landscape for your partner it is time to align what you consider the most cost-effective, impactful solutions to their vision. This is not the time to remain in the status quo. Due to the uncertain economic climate, there are many megatrends that are transforming the technology market and channels. Things like pandemic experience, demographic shifts, customer expectations, sustainability, everything-as-a-service, and more have led to a huge impact on channel marketing, including:
Technology is changing the way that partners and sourcing are done.
New types of partners are entering the channel
The rebalanced economy requires that businesses evolve.
Experience and sales should be a priority over price.

MDFs are a great way to engage your partners
MDFs, or marketing distribution funds, are resources that vendors grant to their indirect sales channel partners to aid with sales and marketing programs. For example, a partner could be credited with MDF for X amount of engagement. This MDF can be used to purchase services, add-ons, or monetary rewards. It can be used to build your business. It is important to plan, coordinate with vendors, and follow through on MDF-backed programmes.
Margolis and Murrell agree that allowing your partners to wisely spend MDF is the best investment in their business.
Margolis stated, “If a company wants a digital marketing campaign to push customers to their website but their website is difficult to navigate, that’s not helpful for anyone.”
Instead, she suggests that you look at where the company is at the moment in its journey and determine where funds would make the most impact. “If you can give [MDF] back to partners who take initiative and use it in the right manner, that’s the goal. Margolis stated that you want partners who are able to see the benefits of smart spending money for the business.
Encourage the Right Things
The “Before Times” was the only trophy. It awarded the highest sales revenue. However, there are many other aspects that go into creating a positive customer experience. Other factors, such as customer engagement, active promotion on social media, and engaging content, are proven to make a marketing qualified lead a sales qualified leads (MQL). Companies and sales teams that emphasize quality over quantity will reap the benefits.
“People do business with people, and not brands.” Murrell stated that you want to encourage the behaviors that move the needle.
Your partners can help you encourage your staff to do their best without making it a condition. How? Margolis suggests that social engagement be included in channel account manager training. This allows for more people to drive an audience than they are.
Align Content with Your Partners
It’s like enjoying the whole cupcake and not just the cherry by providing the right content for your partners throughout the sales funnel.

Women are a group that is often underrepresented in tech. According to Deloitte, only 24% of technical workforce in 2021 was made up of women. Statistics show that girls have become less interested in technology as a result of their middle school years. Peer pressures, developmental strains and reinforcement of traditional gender roles like passivity have made it harder for females to find job and curriculum roles in technical fields. CompTIA’s TechGirlz aims to change this.
Amy Cliett is the senior director of program operations at TechGirlz. She describes how the group is setting the scene for female advancement through their middle school program. She said, “One of our first things is to get the girls into a separate, secure space.” “Most girls shy away from asking questions or trying new things in front of their boys. We give them the opportunity to explore what they are interested in learning. Many girls love solving problems.” The organization creates projects to support girls in their quest for answers.
Connect Four makes it possible for underrepresented groups to benefit from work-based learning by enabling them to connect with Connect Four
CompTIA is also committed to helping fill the talent pipeline by encouraging participation of traditionally underrepresented groups. CompTIA uses a program called Connect Four to encourage work-based learning in these groups.
Connect Four offered remote panel discussions to students during the pandemic to spark interest in other career fields. Recent discussions included hearing impaired people. Sign language interpreters were available as well as representatives from different fields. “Work-based learning is one of the most challenging parts of a learning program in high schools and college,” said Angel Pinero (Vice President of Strategic Academic Relations at CompTIA).
To Strengthen the Workforce, Establish Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are not just for trades anymore. CompTIA offers active apprenticeship programs that combine mentorships with instruction to encourage participation in technology careers. Amy Kardel (Senior Vice President of Strategic Workforce Relations at CompTIA), stated that apprenticeships are one the oldest workforce development tools. “Apprenticeships enable employers to create a highly skilled workforce.”
Apprenticeships are unique in that they allow employers to actively address their talent shortages by developing mentors within the company and training new talent. She says that, beyond the retention of talent and staffing solutions, we are seeing a better development of leadership which allows employers to give back in an innovative way.
CompTIA Tech Career Academy offers alternative educational paths
People without a degree are another group that is often excluded from tech jobs. It is a common misconception that technical jobs can only be accessed by those with a traditional four year degree. “I feel this country has done a little disservice to its students by making people feel like they need to go to college and if that doesn’t happen, they’re less than,” Nancy Hammervik, CEO, CompTIA Tech Career Academy.
The academy offers technical education, career assistance, soft skills development, interview prep and training, and even job prep and training. It is a non-traditional route to technical education and careers. “A CompTIA A+ certification and an associate’s degree will get you into a tech job for less than $10,000.
CompTIA also supported a program that helped incarcerated Texas women obtain their tech certification and find work in order to foster family relationships.
